The EDI 830 is an electronic data interchange transaction that provides a forecast to the vendor, informing them about what will be used and when. This information enables the supplier to proactively prepare for upcoming demand.
Companies often utilize retail EDI VANs, AS2 or other technologies to support this process. There are ESB and iPaaS solutions that can also support this process.
