What is an EDI 855?
The EDI 855 is an electronic data interchange transaction that contains information about a purchase order acknowledgment or POAck, or EDI 855. Also known as an 855 POA, the EDI 855, is often the EDI transaction used to confirm order as well as oftentimes provide insight on how the order will be packed, shipped, and more.
Companies often utilize retail EDI VANs, AS2 or other technologies to support this process. There are ESB and iPaaS solutions that can support this process.
The EDI 855 is not only used in Retail EDI environments, but also in automotive, wholesale and many others.
